The crowd at Friday's league contest between the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) and the visiting North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA), witnessed St. Edmund's football squad wallop North Central by a tally of 56-6.

The Fighting Blue Jays (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings enter the 1A District 5 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Opelousas Catholic was trounced by Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Hurricanes confront the Berchmans Academy Saints (Grand Coteau, LA) in a 1A District 5 bout, on Friday, October 3. North Central will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 58-14 non-league loss to Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA).
