Upper Perkiomen Indians (Pennsburg, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA), 23-16 in a league battle.

With the win, Upper Perkiomen advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Indians host Upper Merion Area (King of Prussia, PA) to confront the Vikings in a Pioneer - Frontier match on Friday, October 3. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 1-5. Upper Merion Area lost 28-27 in their recent league match against Phoenixville (Phoenixville, PA)

Coming up next, the confront the Pottsgrove Falcons (Pottsgrove, PA) in a Pioneer - Frontier battle, on Friday, October 3. Pope John Paul II will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Falcons go into the battle with a 2-4 record after their 33-20 league win over Pottstown (Pottstown, PA).
