New Mexico High School Football - Silver thwarted by St. Pius X

September 26, 2025: Silver City, NM 88061

St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM), 34-14 in a league battle.

With the win, St. Pius X improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Sartans travel to Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Chargers in a 4A District 2 match on Saturday, October 4. The Chargers come into the match with a record of 2-3. Albuquerque Academy lost 35-20 in their recent league match against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)

Coming up next, the Fighting Colts meet the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) in a 4A District 2 match, on Friday, October 3. Silver will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 1-5 record after their 51-14 league win over Valencia (Los Lunas, NM).
