The Smithson Valley Rangers football team (Spring Branch, TX), was tipped 39-36 in Friday's league bout with the host Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX)

With the win, Pieper advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Seguin (Seguin, TX) to encounter the Matadors in a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 bout on Friday, October 11. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Seguin won 73-66 in their recent league bout against Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX)

The Rangers now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Wagner for a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 bout on Friday, October 11. Smithson Valley will encounter a Thunderbirds team coming off a 48-3 league win over MacArthur (San Antonio, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 2-2.
