The Daniel Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Aiken Fighting Green Hornets to 1 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 20-7 record. They play next when they travel to Powdersville for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 27. Daniel will play a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Wando (Mt. Pleasant, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 10-5.

With the loss, Aiken drops to 8-11 on the campaign. The Fighting green hornets host Gilbert (Gilbert, SC) to play the Indians in a AAAA Region 4 outing on Tuesday, September 30. The Indians come into the outing with a record of 10-6. Gilbert lost 3-1 in their recent league game against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC)
