Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Appleton North Lightning (Appleton, WI) and the visiting West Bend East Suns (West Bend, WI), observed Appleton North's volleyball team hold off West Bend East by a count of 2-1.

The Lightning (2-20) will now prepare for their contest against Xavier (Appleton, WI). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 21-7 record. In their last contest, Xavier was tipped by Winneconne (Winneconne, WI), 3-2, in a league battle.
