The Daniel Lions (Central, SC) volleyball held off the host Powdersville Patriots (Greenville, SC), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 20-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seneca for a AAAA Region 2 match on Tuesday, September 30. Daniel will battle a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 11-7.

The Patriots (11-7) will now prepare for their match against Palmetto (Williamston, SC). The Mustangs enter the AAA Region 2 match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Palmetto was tipped by Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC), 3-2, in a league match.
