The Mercy Marlins tipped the host Utica Eisenhower Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

The Marlins now possess a 18-2 record. They play next when they host Central Catholic for a non-league match on Wednesday, October 1. Mercy will confront a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Bryan (Bryan, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 3-10.

The Eagles (18-2) will now prepare for their match against Grosse Pointe South (Grosse Pointe, MI). The Blue Devils enter the Macomb Area - Red match with a 10-9 record. In their last match, Grosse Pointe South nipped Marysville (Marysville, MI), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
