In Friday's league match, the visiting Gig Harbor Tides football squad scored a close 17-14 victory over the Timberline Blazers.

In their next game, the Tides clash with the River Ridge Hawks (Lacey, WA) in a 3A South Sound match, on Thursday, October 5. Gig Harbor will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 0-5 record after their 45-0 league loss to Peninsula (Gig Harbor, WA).
