Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Sandhills Valley Mavericks (Stapleton, NE) and the visiting Medicine Valley Raiders (Curtis, NE), observed Sandhills Valley's volleyball team top Medicine Valley by a tally of 2-0.

The Mavericks (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Twin Loup (Sargent, NE). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Twin Loup was beaten by Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] (Eustis, NE), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Arapahoe Warriors (Arapahoe, NE) in a non-league test, on Thursday, October 2. Medicine Valley will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 8-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Loomis (Loomis, NE).
