Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the host Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA), observed New Covenant's volleyball team top Timberlake Christian by a count of 3-0.

The Gryphons (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA). The Kavaliers go into the non-league battle with a 5-9 record. In their last battle, Kenston Forest dropped by Southampton Academy (Courtland, VA), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Tornadoes now own a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Faith Christian for a non-league battle on Friday, October 3. Timberlake Christian will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 6-3.
