The Merced Bears (Merced, CA) flag football knocked off the host Bellflower Buccaneers (Bellflower, CA), 24-12 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Bears now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Hills for a non-league outing on Saturday, September 6. Merced will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 13-6 non-league win over Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 7-3.

With the defeat, Bellflower falls to 6-3 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Buena Park (Buena Park, CA) to battle the Coyotes in a non-league contest on Monday, September 8. The Coyotes enter the contest with a record of 4-5.
