The Fort Bend Kempner Cougars football squad scored 29 points and limited the host Lamar Consolidated Mustangs to 25 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wisdom for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 11. Fort Bend Kempner will face a Generals team coming off a 50-43 non-league win over Milby (Houston, TX). The Generals record now stands at 2-0.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cesar E. Chavez (Houston, TX). The Lobos go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Cesar E. Chavez was edged by Waltrip (Houston, TX), 28-12, in a non-league challenge.
