Texas High School Football - Lorena sneaks past Malakoff

The Lorena Leopards football squad scored 38 points and limited the host Malakoff Tigers to 35 in the Leopards non-league triumph on Friday.

The Leopards now hold a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 12. Lorena will play a Lions team coming off a 42-28 non-league loss to China Spring (China Spring, TX). The Lions record now stands at 0-1.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Madisonville was nipped by Navasota (Navasota, TX), 31-24, in a non-league test.
