In Friday's non-league outing, the host Coventry Oakers soccer squad scored a tight 4-3 win over the North Smithfield Northmen.

The Oakers (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels enter the Division 2 outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Smithfield was edged by East Providence (East Providence, RI), 1-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Northmen clash with the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, September 9. North Smithfield will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record.
