In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Chicago Washington Patriots volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Hammond Central Wolves.

The Patriots now have a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Payton College Prep for a Chicago Public Super game on Thursday, September 7. Chicago Washington will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL). The Grizzlies record now stands at 3-7.

The Wolves (5-8) will now prepare for their game against Hammond Morton (Hammond, IN). The Governors enter the Great Lakes game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Hammond Morton dropped by Hobart (Hobart, IN), 3-0, in a non-league game.
