The Anderson Trojans football squad scored 62 points and limited the host Elgin Wildcats to 20 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.

The Trojans now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to College Station for a 5A-1 Region III District 12 test on Friday, September 13. Anderson will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 48-21 non-league win over Magnolia (Magnolia, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Elgin drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Montgomery (Montgomery, TX) to meet the Bears in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Bears come into the test with a record of 2-0. Montgomery won 58-33 in their recent non-league test against Caney Creek (Conroe, TX)
