In Saturday's non-league game, the host Millard North Mustangs softball squad scored a close 8-1 triumph over the Gretna Dragons.

With the triumph, Millard North improves its record to 14-2 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE) to play the Monarchs in a non-league game on Saturday, September 6. The Monarchs enter the game with a record of 10-3. Papillion-LaVista won 6-2 in their recent non-league game against Westview (Omaha, NE)

The Dragons now hold a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Gretna East for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 9. Gretna will play a Griffins squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Arlington (Arlington, NE). The Griffins record now stands at 7-5.
