The Riverbend Bears volleyball squad (Fredericksburg, VA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA)

With the win, The Covenant improves its record to 7-1 on the season. The Eagles host Carlisle (Axton, VA) to encounter the Chiefs in a VISAA Division 3 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Chiefs go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Carlisle lost 3-0 in their recent league battle against North Cross (Roanoke, VA)
