In Friday's non-league match, the host Myers Park Mustangs football squad scored a big 47-14 victory over the Richmond Raiders.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 14. Myers Park will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Mavericks enter the match with a 3-1 record after their 23-21 non-league loss to Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC).

The Raiders (0-4) will now prepare for their match against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers enter the 3A/4A Sandhills match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Southern Lee routed Fairmont (Fairmont, NC), 38-12, in a non-league match.
