The Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX) football edged the visiting Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), 21-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 16. Rudder will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Bobcats enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 22-15 non-league loss to Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX).

The Wildcats (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Cedar Creek was nudged by Hays (Buda, TX), 54-21, in a non-league bout.
