Arizona High School Volleyball - Odyssey Institute bounced by Payson

Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Odyssey Institute Minotaur (Buckeye, AZ), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Benjamin Franklin (Queen Creek, AZ). The Chargers enter the 3A - Metro challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Benjamin Franklin beat Horizon Honors (Phoenix, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Minotaur meet the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 12. Odyssey Institute will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Thatcher (Thatcher, AZ).
