Alabama high school football playoffs: Brackets, schedules for all seven classifications

State championship games set for Dec. 2-4 at the University of Alabama's Bryant-Denny Stadium.

The Alabama High School Athletic Association football playoffs open Friday in all seven classifications. The AHSAA Super 7 state championships are scheduled for early December at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Class 7A opens the championship schedule Dec. 2, classes 1A, 3A and 5A will play Dec. 3 and classes 2A, 4A and 6A take the field Dec. 4.

Defending champions include Thompson (7A), Oxford (6A), Central of Clay County (5A), UMS-Wright Prep (4A), Piedmont (3A), Fyffe (2A) and Lanett (1A).

Thompson (10-0) is ranked among the nation's elite, checking in at No. 9 in this week's MaxPreps Top 25.
