Recap: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Columbia Wildcats
The Ridgevue Warhawks were the 43-23 winner over the Columbia Wildcats when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Ridgevue took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia on Tuesday. Ridgevue has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Ridgevue had strong showings from Jacotah Thomas, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Myra Martinez, who scored four points along with six steals.
Ridgevue's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Columbia, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.
Ridgevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to square off against Bishop Kelly at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kelly is on a ten-game streak of home wins, Columbia a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
