Defending national champions jump seven spots to No. 3 after capturing the Kissimmee Klassic championship.

There are several big changes in this week's MaxPreps Top 25 national high school softball rankings, including the reigning national champions returning to the top five.

Orange Beach (Ala.) has jumped back to No. 3 after capturing the Kissimmee Klassic title last week. The Makos went 4-0 and beat several nationally-ranked teams, including previous No. 2 Doral Academy (Doral, Fla.) and No. 16 Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) 3-2 in the championship. Auburn commit Daigle Wilson had a monster tournament, racking up nine hits in 14 at-bats.

Rosary Academy (Fullerton, Calif.) has leaped into the MaxPreps Top 25 after bringing home the Michelle Carew Classic trophy Saturday, defeating Orange Lutheran (Orange) 8-4 in the championship game. Sophomore Hailey Huerta went 4-for-4 and was a key part of their offensive attack, which scored 37 runs over five games.

Orange Lutheran reached the final after knocking off Norco 1-0 in the semifinals. Norco finished the tournament with a 4-1 record, including a 5-1 win over Saint Francis (Mountain View). The battle for the top spot in California will be one to watch all season long.

Three other teams are new to the rankings this week. Curry (Jasper, Ala.) has won 27 straight games and is led by Ambrey Taylor, an Alabama commit with 59 career home runs including 11 this season.

Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, Ill.) is off to a 6-0 start. Dominant right-handed pitcher Lisabella Dimitrijevic has yet to allow an earned run. The Florida State pledge has struck out 69 batters in 28 innings of work and has 840 Ks in her prep career.

Wisconsin just kicked off its season and Kenosha Bradford (Kenosha) picked up right where it left off. The defending Division 1 state champions have outscored their first two opponents 22-0. MaxPreps State Player of the Year and Central Michigan commit Aubrey Strelow is back for the Red Devils.
