After closing season on 60-game streak, Reidsville has a chance to break North Carolina state record in 2025-26.
At the conclusion of the 2025-26 high school basketball season, North Carolina could have a new leader for longest win streak in state history.
Reidsville ended the 2024-25 campaign with the longest active win streak in the nation at 60 games. That includes 31 games this season and 29 in 2023-24. The Rams have won back-to-back Class 2A state titles and return MaxPreps North Carolina Player of the Year
Dionte Neal along with fellow all-stater
Kendre Harrison.
Beaufort owns the longest win streak in state history, winning 91 in a row from 1960 to 1962.

Central Cabarrus (Concord, N.C.) joined the list of longest win streaks in the
MaxPreps National High School Basketball Record Book last year. The Vikings lost their season opener to end the streak at 65 in a row. Other schools that joined the list this past season include
Johnson-Brock (Johnson, Neb.) with 56 in a row and
Plano East (Plano, Texas) with 50 in a row. Teams are not added to the list until the streak has ended.
Another school that will be added to the list once its streak ends is
Glens Falls (N.Y.). The Black Bears have won back-to-back state championships with consecutive 27-0 seasons to give them 54 straight wins. Glens Falls is tied with
Lake George (54 wins from 2017-19) for the eighth-longest streak in New York state history.
Belleville Henderson Central (Belleville) holds the state's longest run of success at 104 in a row from 1966 to 1971.
Read on for a look at every team in the country with a win streak of 15 more more consecutive games at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. Also included below are the teams with the best records by percentage in the country this year. Teams needed at least 27 games in order to be considered.
Hoover (Ala.) and
Loretto (Tenn.) lead the list, each with a 35-0 record.
Additionally, MaxPreps includes a list of the 30 teams with the most wins in 2024-25. Based on scores reported to MaxPreps,
