Comenius has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the South Charlotte T Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Comenius suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2023 last Wednesday. They were outmatched by Charlotte Elite Academy on the road and fell 86-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (56), Comenius still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, South Charlotte T entered their tilt with South Guilford HomeSchool with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. South Charlotte T came out on top against South Guilford HomeSchool by a score of 68-61 on Monday. Given South Charlotte T's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while South Guilford HomeSchool is ranked 507th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Charlotte T's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aaron Hill led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Graves, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Comenius' defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15. As for South Charlotte T, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
Comenius skirted past South Charlotte T 74-71 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Does Comenius have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Charlotte T turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
