Given Carolina Forest's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while St. James is ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carolina Forest's victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.8 points per game. As for St. James, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
