Johnson is 1-6 against Cordova since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Johnson Warriors will head out on the road to  challenge  the Cordova Lancers at 7:30  p.m. Hopefully Johnson focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
 Last Monday, Johnson beat Florin 39-30. The  victory was just what Johnson needed coming off of a  63-9 defeat in their prior  contest.
 Johnson can attribute much of their success to   Iris Vang, who  scored 17 points, and   Timoa Pa'aga, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and ten  rebounds. Pa'aga hasn't dropped below two  blocks for seven straight games.
 Meanwhile, Cordova was able to grind out a solid  win over Foothill on Tuesday, taking the game  32-19. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Cordova.
 Johnson now  has a winning record of 11-10. As for Cordova, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.
 Johnson might still be hurting after the  50-25 loss they got from Cordova  when the teams last played  back in January. Can Johnson avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
