The Indio Rajahs's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 60-48 win over Yucca Valley. The win was just what Indio needed coming off of a 65-41 loss in their prior match.
Defeat or not, Yucca Valley got some senior leadership from Myles Harper who scored 8 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds and Jadon Pierce who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Pierce scored a full 33.3% of Yucca Valley's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Indio back to even at 3-3. As for Yucca Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Indio will head out on the road to face off against Coachella Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Coachella Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1156th, while Indio is ranked 461st). As for Yucca Valley, they will be playing at home against Twentynine Palms at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Twentynine Palms focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
