Chesterfield hasn't had much luck against Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Rams will head out to challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Chesterfield will be strutting in after a win while Central will be coming in after a loss.
Chesterfield will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points last Friday, then bounced right back against Buford on Friday. The Golden Rams blew past the Yellow Jackets, posting a 45-13 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Golden Rams' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Bryce Adams
| 10/17/25 vs Buford | 163.2 |
| 09/05/25 vs Lee Central | 144 |
| 09/20/24 @ McBee | 95 |
| 09/19/25 vs McBee | 71.3 |
| 09/12/25 vs C.A. Johnson | 71.3 |
Chesterfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Adams, who threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Adams a new career-high in passer rating (163.2). Greg Rushing Jr helped Adams out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 52 receiving yards and one score.
Chesterfield didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Buford to a completion percentage of just 43.2%. The Golden Rams have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.6 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.6 in their last three games.
Chesterfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Sincere Hubbard and Jaden Johnson. Johnson also made four total tackles, which is notable because Chesterfield is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 0-4 otherwise.
Meanwhile, Central and Andrew Jackson were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Central suffered a 21-20 defeat. Despite 213 more yards than the Volunteers, the Eagles couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Chesterfield will have to contain Ashten Wilson as he made an impact in Central's last game. He rushed for 208 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Wilson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 131 rushing yards. Dwayne Louallen Jr helped out on the ground, rushing for 89 yards.
Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 6-1. As for Chesterfield, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Rushing Jr and Wilson. Rushing Jr just won't slow down this season and has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 81 rushing yards per game. Wilson has been a dominant force too and has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 129.4 rushing yards per game.
Chesterfield suffered a grim 34-8 defeat to Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Golden Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
