After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Sage Creek, San Dieguito Academy was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Scripps Ranch Falcons  5-3. This was payback for San Dieguito Academy, who suffered  an  18-1  loss the last time these two teams met.
  Sophia Rea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. Those seven  innings set a new season-high mark for her.
