The Bastrop Rams put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to North Webster for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-4 win at home. Bastrop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 20 points or more this season.
Bastrop's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alana Myles, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Heard, who scored 13 points.
Bastrop pushed their record up to 26-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. As for North Webster, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-4.
Bastrop will be playing at home against Franklin Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Parish will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Bastrop is ranked 25th). As for North Webster, they will head out on the road to square off against Wossman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wossman knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully North Webster likes a good challenge.
