Indian Creek is 2-8 against Severn School since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Indian Creek Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Severn School Admirals at 5:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Indian Creek has struggled recently with 12 defeats in a row, while Severn School will arrive with 13 straight wins.
Indian Creek pushed their score all the way to 58 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Concordia Prep by a score of 60-58. While losing is never fun, Indian Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Concordia Prep is ranked 101st).
Indian Creek's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aiden Evans, who scored 24 points, and Kyle Harvin who scored 21 points.
Meanwhile, Severn School scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by St. Mary's on the road to the tune of 87-50. Severn School has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Indian Creek dropped their record down to 7-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Severn School, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.
Indian Creek was taken down by Severn School 65-32 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Indian Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
