Belton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kordell Williams, who scored 18 points. Williams has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Shrum, who scored 11 points.
Belton dropped their record down to 9-15 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belton will take on Platte County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
