Alvin Henderson of
Elba (Ala.) has put his name along some of the all-time greats in high school football, finishing his career with over 10,000 rushing yards and over 1,200 points. The Auburn-bound senior has been named the 2024 Small Town National Player of the Year.
Henderson headlines the Small Town All-America Team, which features 60 stars that play at schools with fewer than 1,000 students in towns with a population of under 10,000.
A repeat selection to the Small Town All-America Team, Henderson ranks No. 5 all-time nationally with 10,930 yards and No. 3 all-time in career points with 1,224.
Tim Goodwin of
Marion Local (Maria Stein, Ohio) is the Small Town National Coach of the Year. Goodwin led the Flyers to a 16-0 record and their fourth straight Division VII state championship along with a national-best and state record 64 consecutive wins.

QB — Adam Schobel, Columbus (Texas)

3A-1 District 12 co-MVP led Columbus to a 15-1 record and the Class
3A Division 1 state championship. He completed 200 of 269 passes for 3,473 yards
and 53 touchdowns against just three interceptions. He also rushed 41 times
for 538 yards and 12 touchdowns.
QB — Jett Surratt, Carthage (Texas)

Surratt
led Carthage to a Class 4A Division 2 championship and earned all-district
player of the year honors with teammate K.J. Edwards. Surratt completed
235 of 361 passes for 3,378 yards and 53 touchdowns despite playing in

QB — Landon York, Wall (Texas)

Texas this year. He completed 244 of 366 passes for 3,767 yards and 48

touchdowns. He also rushed 85 times for 526 yards and 13 scores.
