Mo Hussein Dazzles in Deer Trail Win
Starting off the list is Deer Trail's Mo Hussein, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hussein made 13 total tackles and defended three passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Hussein must have Miami-Yoder's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Hussein saw the Buffaloes), he picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Junior Diaz Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Junior Diaz's big game helped extend Hanover's winning streak to four on Friday. Diaz made a major impact, rushing for 181 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (110.2) per game. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 55 yards.
If the past is any indication, Diaz could be in store for another big game when he takes on Bethune on Saturday. When Diaz last faced the Bobcats back in September of 2023, he rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and a touchdown.

David Byers Makes It Two for Hanover
The second Hanover player making an appearance here is David Byers, and for good reason. He rushed for -4 yards.
Byers is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Bethune on Saturday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Byers saw the Bobcats), he rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown.
