The ThunderRidge Grizzlies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highlands Ranch. ThunderRidge has not had much luck with Highlands Ranch recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Becca Winton, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ben Kayser-cochran, who scored 11 points.
Tori Baker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Highlands Ranch, scoring 23 points. Ashlyn Bish was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
ThunderRidge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Highlands Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will square off against Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Highlands Ranch, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while Highlands Ranch is ranked 26th).
