Blue Ridge has gone a perfect 4-0 against Coolidge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to take on the Coolidge Bears at 1:30 p.m. Blue Ridge will be strutting in after a win while Coolidge will be coming in after a loss.

Blue Ridge's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Alchesay with a sharp 11-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Yellow Jackets.

Hunter Baskins looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Blue Ridge got a massive performance out of Hunter Krausee, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Edgington, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Coolidge's offense. They fell 4-0 to Snowflake on Thursday. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Lobos recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Coolidge saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Perez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Perez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

The win got Blue Ridge back to even at 3-3. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-3.

Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Blue Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .457. However, it's not like Coolidge struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Blue Ridge's way against Coolidge in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, as Blue Ridge made off with a 22-6 victory. Does Blue Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coolidge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
