  Jack Joyce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Brody Gullison, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Ben Brown, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Yarmouth's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for York, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Yarmouth has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9.3  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like York struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
