On Wednesday, the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets faced the Blythewood Bengals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Fort Mill came out on top against Blythewood by a score of 58-48. The win was nothing new for Fort Mill as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Fort Mill to victory were Nas Berry and Kishawn Anderson. Berry scored 22 points, while Anderson scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Darryl Carrington, who scored eight points.
Fort Mill's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Blythewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Mill will take on Rock Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Rock Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Fort Mill is ranked 23rd). As for Blythewood, they will be playing at home against Nation Ford at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Nation Ford is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
