The South Delta Bulldogs waltzed into their game on Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They had just enough and edged West Tallahatchie out 61-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jamichael Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Ahmani Lee was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
West Tallahatchie's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roosevelt Phillips, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Phillips has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Drexel Miller, who scored 20 points.
South Delta is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for West Tallahatchie, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9.
South Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Tallahatchie also has no future games currently scheduled.
