The Prospect Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Saratoga Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Prospect's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
Prospect is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Oak Grove on Friday as Prospect made off with a 20-1 win. Considering the Panthers have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendall Tabora made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Sydney Slezak and Isa Shields did most of the damage at the plate: Slezak went 2-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Shields scored four runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave Slezak a new career-high. Molly Hanaray was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Prospect was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Saratoga gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Wilcox 7-6.
Saira Ramakrishnan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Saratoga let Alaina Retamoso and Alyssa Tham run wild. Retamoso scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Tham scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Maggie Huesby, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Prospect's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Saratoga, their record now sits at 1-0.
Prospect came up short against Saratoga when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 6-1. Can Prospect avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
