The Henderson County Colonels will face off against the Caldwell County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Henderson County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hancock County with a sharp 12-2 victory on Wednesday. The Colonels not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

Cole Thompson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.
At the plate, Maxton Meadows was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Wyatt Holland was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Henderson County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Caldwell County came tearing into Saturday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Lakers. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Ethan Ramage tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Drew Stevens, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Parker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Caldwell County pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Henderson County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
