The Fletcher School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 83-44 loss at the hands of the Socrates Academy Owls. One positive for the Falcons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Socrates Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JP Polburn, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Polburn is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. Dom Vazquetelles was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five steals.

The Fletcher School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Socrates Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

The Fletcher School won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against UR Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. UR Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Socrates Academy, they and Covenant Classical will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
