The Pioneer Mustangs are taking a road trip to  take on the Del Mar Dons  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Del Mar took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pioneer, who comes in off a win.
Pioneer took a loss when they played away from home  on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Monday. They put the hurt on Silver Creek with a sharp  7-1 win.
Not much got past  Gina Scripoch, who gave up just  five  hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Silver Creek off the board. Scripoch has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Cara Goodrich was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. Another player making a difference was  Olivia Krump, who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Del Mar fell victim to Live Oak and their airtight pitching crew  on Friday. They came up short against  the Acorns, falling  13-0. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Del Mar's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
 Everything went Pioneer's way against Del Mar in their previous meeting  back in March, as Pioneer made off with  a  17-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
