Denbigh Baptist Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joshua Kinney led the charge by scoring 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kinney has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of William Showalter, who scored 15 points.
Broadwater Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.
Broadwater Academy will be playing at home against the at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Virginia (Gateway Christian is ranked 346th, while the Vikings are ranked 341st). As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Legend Bunch and Ethan Claville.
