The Louisa County Lions's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They managed a 50-45 victory over Fluvanna County. The win was just what Louisa County needed coming off of a 63-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Louisa County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taylor Yeatts, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Yeatts pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Vest-Sims, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Louisa County's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Fluvanna County, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Louisa County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Goochland at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Goochland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Fluvanna County will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Powhatan at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th.
