It was a good run, but the Hahnville Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 51-42 to Salmen. Hahnville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Salmen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Salmen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendal Thomas led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Thomas' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Treasure Mccall, who scored 10 points.
Hahnville's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Salmen, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hahnville will face off against A.J. Ellender at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. A.J. Ellender will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Hahnville is ranked 59th). As for Salmen, they will head out on the road to face off against Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
