The losing side was boosted by Josiah Obando, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Braeden Pero was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Even though they lost, Calvary Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Horizon Christian only racked up seven assists.
Meanwhile, Mooresville Christian earned a 62-52 victory over the Knights on Friday.
Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Mooresville Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
Calvary Christian and the Eagles were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but the EAGLES came up empty-handed after a 51-50 defeat.
